Tangazo la Kuitwa Kazini 2025 TRA

You may recall that the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) announced a total of 1,596 job vacancies at the beginning of February 2025. A total of 135,027 job applications were received, and out of those, 113,023 candidates were shortlisted for the written aptitude test after meeting the criteria. The written test was conducted on March 29 and 30, 2025.

Candidates who passed the written test were invited for oral interviews conducted from May 12 to 14, 2025, in which 6,325 candidates participated.

TRA extends special thanks to Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, for APPROVING the Authority’s request to increase the number of employment slots by 300. These additional positions were allocated in the 2025/26 Fiscal Year Budget to be filled through the recently concluded recruitment process, thus raising the total number of hires from the initially planned 1,596 to 1,896.

The Authority wishes to inform all job applicants who attended the oral interviews that the results of those interviews will be released tomorrow, May 28, 2025, via the email addresses used in their job applications.

The 1,896 successful candidates who have been offered jobs are required to report at their assigned venues on June 2, 2025, at 7:00 AM sharp, bringing along the necessary documents as specified in their email notifications.

The Authority thanks all applicants who expressed interest in working with the Tanzania Revenue Authority and wishes them all the best in contributing to nation-building. Additionally, the 4,429 candidates who participated in the interviews but were not selected for employment will have their information retained in the Authority’s database for future reference.
